THE BIT IN THE MIDDLE…
It was while heading up colour divisions in salons that he had his light bulb moment. An idea that was to make him one of the hairdressing industry’s most dynamic and innovative entrepreneurs.
Observing assistants at chic salons around the world hacking through freshly and fragile coloured hair with a comb, he realised there was a calling for a new detangling hair tool that didn’t fight or lock in tangles.
The answer was in specifically spaced and designed teeth. Teeth that flexed over tangles without pulling or snagging. Four years in the making, the new generation of hairbrush was born.
It was called Tangle Teezer.

Facing the Dragons in your living room can be daunting enough let alone pitching to them in the studio. However, that’s where Shaun P found himself when trying to raise investment for his innovative new detangling hair tool called Tangle Teezer. Once demonstrated, The Dragons were soon breathing their fire with Peter Jones declaring it a ‘hair brained’ idea.
But ever the optimist Shaun didn’t take this public mauling personally, he self financed his invention and began marketing the Tangle Teezer. Sales soon took off and word began to spread. The rest is hair history. The Dragons may have declared themselves out, but those who understood the trauma of tangles were most certainly in!
